The bowls I make can be used for everyday food use or just for display. They are easy to take care of and will last for years with proper and easy care.

 

Care & Maintenance of Your Wood Bowls~

· Wax or oil your wood bowls on a regular basis

· Wash by hand only

· Do not let wood bowls soak in water

· Do not wash in dishwasher

· Do not take from hot to cold or cold to hot

About The Wood~


Ash~

A strong wood that retains its shape well and

resists warping and shrinking. There is very little difference in color between heartwood and sapwood.  The sapwood is light creamy white.



Beech~

A heavy, hard, strong wood.  It has no taste or odor.



Butternut~

Tan to dark chocolate with beautiful grain pattern.


Cherry~

Is reddish brown and the color deepens with age.  


Black Locust~


Maple~

This light brown to blonde wood is strong and takes a good polish.



Walnut~

Is light brown to dark chocolate brown, developing a rich patina that grows more lustrous with age. 


Willow~

A lightweight, yellow to orange wood.
